Season Finale

If you haven't been to one of Bridget van der Zijpp's Writers Write: Actors Read sessions yet, this is your last chance for 2026.

It's a reunion of sorts of for Harry McNaughton (The Pact, Shortland Street) and Maata Pohatu (Warren’s Vortex, Wellington Paranormal, Modern Māori Quartet) who last appeared together in Happiness, which screened on TV3 earlier in the year (you can still catch it on Three Now). Harry McNaughton will the reading the award-winning Jewel’s Darl by Anne Kennedy. You may be familiar with it from Peter Wells' short film of the story, starring a very young Georgina Beyer as Jewel. Maata Pohatu will be reading A Casket Made of Flax by Airana Ngarewa from his collection Pātea Boys.
