The Ockham Collective is a registered charitable trust based in Auckland, New Zealand. Its kaupapa is to support lifelong creativity and education. Our support is direct: we offer beautiful, purpose-built spaces to like-minded individuals and groups who want to share their knowledge and ideas with our city.
Our annual residency programme has now concluded. Since 2019, we have been incredibly proud to support a wonderful group of artists-who-educate by providing the space to teach, create, and share their knowledge with Tāmaki Makaurau.
As we move into a new chapter, we will not be calling for applications for 2026 and beyond. We are deeply grateful to all the residents who have filled our spaces with ideas and creativity over the last six years, and we remain dedicated to our kaupapa of supporting lifelong creativity and education in our city.
The Auckland Folk Festival is returning to the Kumeū Showgrounds over Auckland Anniversary weekend (23-26 January) and, as usual, Ockham Collective people are well represented on the line up.
Saturday 10 January marks exactly 10 years since David Bowie took his final journey to the stars. The OC’s Peter Dragicevich is DJing at two tribute events this month: Let’s Dance at Whammy and 10 BPM at Soho Cellar Door.
Wherever this message finds you, we hope you're having a great start to 2026. Things are quiet here in damp old Auckland, but there are some exciting things to look forward to in the coming weeks.
Ockham Collectives have included a poet laureate, an arts laureate, two NZ Book Awards winners and an Emmy winner - many of whom to continue to use our spaces for events and teaching. Meet our Ockham Collectives from previous years »
