Ockham Collective presents Shindig!
[NB: due to the current level 4 lockdown this event is postponed. We will keep you posted with revised details as soon as we have them to hand.]
Our "Ockham Collective presents..." salon series at Freida Margolis wine bar in Grey Lynn continues on Sunday 22 August with another of our own – the Ockham Collective's banjo bandit David Ward and his band Shindig!
David tells us to expect a night of old-time folk, blues and country tunes from the American pantheon. "We're inspired by the unvarnished song of early American folk and blues heroes such as Dock Boggs, Roscoe Holcomb and Leadbelly," says David.
Joining him in Shindig! are Eamon Edmundson-Wells on bass and NZ music's everywhere man Dave Khan on fiddle and mandolin. Khan is an "Ockham Collective presents..." veteran, having kicked off our very first session alongside Reb Fountain.
Tickets are available at Under the Radar. Get in quickly – these gigs always sell out.
David Ward also offers banjo, guitar and music theory lessons from our Tuatahi creative precinct in Mt Albert.
