Later this month, OC alumni Hanna Wiskari is offering a very special Masterclass in Scandinavian Traditional Music. This one-day event will take place at the Ockham Collective's Modal precinct in Mt Albert on Saturday 28 May.

It's a particularly special one, as Hanna is using it as a fundraiser to contribute to her fees to take part in the Global Leaders Program. This prestigious international course is curated by nine leading universities (Harvard and Duke among them) and offered to only 60 arts professionals per year, aiming to empower them to make a difference in their respective communities.

With this very worthy cause in mind, a $100 price-tag for a four-hour small-group session with the country's leading practitioner of traditional Scandinavian music seems very reasonable indeed.
