If you're an instrumentalist or vocalist with your own cultural story to tell, or if you've just got a passion for world music, come along to the Transglobal Music Sessions at Ockham Collective's Hypatia Precinct in Grafton!
It’s place to learn music from around the world, share your own traditions and to collaborate. All musicians are welcome: this is a session open to all ages and abilities.
The Transglobal Music Sessions are facilitated by Swedish saxophonist Hanna Wiskari, building on from her involvement with the international Ethno movement. But unlike Ethno – which is targeted at youth – this is open to all musicians with a passion to play and sing, and to share and learn music from around the globe. Says Hanna, "It offers a way to connect with cultural music from various traditions. It's a way of sharing and learning from each other."
Suggested koha $10.
