Blaze of colour

If you're planning to visit our creative precinct at The Nix over the next two months, prepare for a visual treat. Starting from the launch on Friday 8 September, OC alumnus Lucie Blaze will be gracing our walls with her Emotions in Motion exhibition of abstract paintings. Coinciding with the exhibition she's also reviving her Born to Create series of panel discussions, with four scheduled throughout September and October (tickets $15 through eventbrite).

Kicking things off on Tuesday 12 September, fellow OC alumnus Sonia Wilson will be convening the discussion on the theme Emotions in Motion, with Lucie herself on the panel alongside Rina Chae and Heleina Waimoana Dalton. Then on Tuesday 26 September the theme will be Emotions Through Culture, with Jennifer Zea convening and Abhi Chinniah, Fatima Sanussi and Linda Va‘aelua on the panel.

The final two sessions will be on the themes Judgement and Vulnerability on Tuesday 10 October and Turn Your Pain into Inspiration on Tuesday 24 October; we'll tell you more about those next month.
