Peter Dragicevich

Ockham Collective director

Peter is one of Aotearoa's most experienced travel writers. For the 15 years prior to the arrival of COVID-19, he was travelling the world for a living – writing guidebooks for Lonely Planet and selling travel stories to various international newspapers and magazines. He has well over 100 books to his name covering a disparate range of countries, from New Zealand to Estonia via Samoa, Vietnam and Croatia. Prior to that he had a successful career managing and editing various niche newspaper and magazine titles. He continues to be a regular contributor to the New Zealand Herald's travel section.

Although his piano skills are rusty, he's always had a passion for music. A self-described David Bowie obsessive, his first paid writing gigs were as a music columnist – interviewing everyone from The Cure's Robert Smith to Kylie Minogue. He's also no stranger to working with creatives, having collaborated with designers and writers throughout his professional career.

His role at the Ockham Collective is to promote and support our residents, and to ensure that our precincts are vibrant spaces contributing to the creative life of our city.
