Virginia Frankovich is a theatremaker, creative arts therapist and community arts facilitator with over fifteen years of experience working as a professional creative both in Aotearoa and internationally.

Whether she’s throwing food in a community hall, leading an immersive performance across Auckland in moving cars, pushing actors to the realms of absurdity in a giant bed, or directing large casts to challenge societal constructs around gender and bodies, Frankovich is committed to instigating social change through art. Alongside creating numerous original theatre works, she has directed several successful productions, including Silo Theatre’s Revolt. She said. Revolt Again and If there’s not Dancing at the Revolution, I’m not Coming.

After completing her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Drama at the University of Auckland, Virginia pursued theatre and improv training in Paris and London, before returning to New Zealand to complete a Master’s degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Arts Therapy at Whitecliffe College, graduating with First Class Honours.

Passionate about the creative arts as a transformative tool for self-expression, wellbeing and connection, Virginia’s workshops emphasize playfulness and curiosity, encouraging participants to prioritize the creative process over product, fostering an inclusive, nourishing environment.
