Folk's a-poppin'

After the success of the first Pop-Up Folk Club at The Nix in May, the OC's Louise Evans is shaking things up for another pop on Saturday 29 July. This month's guests will be Marcus Lawson and Ben Collier (Old-Time/Americana), Eimear Connolly and Bláithín Claffey (trad Irish tunes and song) and Adam Ogle (Celtic, folk, song).

Doors open at 4.30pm for a 5pm start and the whole thing winds up at 7.30pm, leaving plenty of time to hit K' Rd afterwards... or to get the kids home to bed. It's a family-friendly event after all (under 6 years free, $5 kids 6-11 years, $10 for students, $15 adults), with coffee and tea provided in the breaks, and the option to bring other beverages with you.
