August Calendar
Two of our favourite semiregular musical events are returning to the Nix this month on consecutive Saturday afternoons.
First up is Pop Up Folk Club on Saturday 16 August. Tickets are available on the door, by cash or bank transfer (adults $20, students $15, teens 13-18 $10, 12 and under free).
That's followed the next week by the Classical Chill-out Session, this time showcasing the considerable talents of the Ockham Collective's Catrin Johnsson (mezzo-soprano) and Rachel Fuller (pianist). Says Rachel, "We'll be performing lots of our favourite repertoire. The programme includes everything from European art song and opera to Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf and Tom Lehrer".
