"Ockham Collective presents..."

We're working with Freida Margolis bar in Grey Lynn to put together a very special salon series, showcasing top-notch artists in wonderfully intimate surroundings. Join us on Saturday 10 April for a night of 'Latin mariachi soul' with Mireya Ramos and her band.

Meet the 2021 OC Residents!

At the Ockham Collective, our annual residency programme is the heart and soul of what we do. This year’s residents are 11 highly talented people working in the fields of music, the visual arts, literature and education.

Gigs galore!

The recent change of COVID-19 alert levels means that our Ockham Collective residents can get back to what they enjoy doing the most: playing live.

Entries open for Ockham NZ Book Awards

Could you be the next Becky Manawatu, Helen Rickerby or Shayne Carter? If you published a memorable work this year – and you’re a New Zealander or NZ resident, and meet the fiction, non-fiction or poetry criteria – then get your entry in to the Ockham NZ Book Awards 2021.

Going to the next level

Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau is now at COVID-19 response level 2.5 – which means that we're able to welcome our Ockham Collective residents, their students and our guests back to our three creative precincts. So what does this mean for our music lessons and workshops?

Fiddling up a Scottish storm

The rollicking sounds of the Scottish fiddle filled the Hypatia creative precinct on Saturday 8 August, with the first of a series of monthly workshops targeted at children aged between eight and 14 years old, under the tutelage of Ockham Collective resident Emily Roughton.

Getting in the Mood at Modal

Hundreds of people took advantage of the open days held over the first weekend of August to check out Ockham Residential's striking new building Modal. For the Ockham Collective Residents, it was a chance to get together, jam, and to check out the latest precinct at their disposal.
