The day after entrancing her Auckland audience at the final night of her much-delayed world tour, US punk-cabaret-singer-songwriter Amanda Palmer took part in much humbler but no less appreciated gig.
TEEKS on tour with the Black Quartet
December sees Okham Collective resident Joe Harrop hitting the road with the Black Quartet, accompanying soulful singer/songwriter TEEKS (Te Karehana Gardiner-Toi) on his sold-out The Invitation Tour.

October sees Kingsley Spargo returning to the stage for a headline gig in Tauranga, followed by a rekindling of his association with national treasure, author Witi Ihimaera, in arts festival performances in Hastings and Christchurch.

Going to the next level
Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau is now at COVID-19 response level 2.5 – which means that we're able to welcome our Ockham Collective residents, their students and our guests back to our three creative precincts. So what does this mean for our music lessons and workshops?
Fiddling up a Scottish storm
The rollicking sounds of the Scottish fiddle filled the Hypatia creative precinct on Saturday 8 August, with the first of a series of monthly workshops targeted at children aged between eight and 14 years old, under the tutelage of Ockham Collective resident Emily Roughton.
Getting in the Mood at Modal
Hundreds of people took advantage of the open days held over the first weekend of August to check out Ockham Residential's striking new building Modal. For the Ockham Collective Residents, it was a chance to get together, jam, and to check out the latest precinct at their disposal.
